By Hunter Reporter

BUSHENYI UGANDA. A 48-year-old woman, Einid Natukunda, was found dead in her home in Nyabutobo, Rwentuha Town Council, Bushenyi District, after a suspected night attack. The gruesome discovery was made when residents noticed a large stone outside her house and bloodstained blankets in a nearby banana plantation around 9am.

According to Fenekansi Kataryeba, LC1 Chairperson, the incident occurred at night, but details only emerged in the morning. Naboth Nabasa, Mayor of Rwentuha Town Council, revealed that initial concerns arose when a child staying with Natukunda was found tied up and asleep in a bed, wrapped in bedsheets. "At first, we thought the child was the victim," Nabasa said. However, police deployed a sniffer dog, which led them to Natukunda's body, found with severe injuries, including cuts to her face, head, and chest, in a pool of blood.

Police have launched an investigation into the murder, and Natukunda's body has been taken to Kampala International University (KIU) for a postmortem examination. No arrests have been made yet, and authorities are working to identify the perpetrator(s).

The incident has sent shockwaves through the community, with residents calling for swift justice.
