HARRIER AND FIREWOOD TRUCK COLLIDE IN NEAR HEAD-ON CRASH ON MBARARA - ISHAKA ROAD.

BUSHENYI - UGANDA: An overtaking maneuver turned disastrously along the Mbarara-Ishaka road, leaving a driver hospitalized after a narrow escape from a head-on collision.
The incident involved a Toyota Harrier, registration number UBL 925J, and an Isuzu truck, registration number UAX 574BT, which was transporting firewood toward Ishaka.
According to eyewitnesses, the driver of the Harrier attempted to overtake the loaded truck. However, the driver suddenly noticed an oncoming vehicle heading from Ishaka toward Mbarara.
In a desperate bid to avoid a head-on crash, the Harrier driver abruptly veered back into the left lane, cutting directly in front of the Isuzu truck.The sudden maneuver caused a severe collision between the two vehicles.
Emergency responders rushed the driver of the Harrier to Kampala International University (KIU) Teaching Hospital in Ishaka for medical treatment.
Fortunately,no fatalities occurred in the crash and further updates will be provided as more details emerge.
