KAMPALA - UGANDA: Chief of Defence Forces Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba has commended 222 retiring UPDF senior officers for their sacrifice and contribution to building a strong and professional force.

Speaking on Wednesday at the UPDF Joint Services Headquarters in Mbuya, Kampala, during the retirement ceremony for Colonels, Lieutenant Colonels and Majors of Batch 16, Gen. Kainerugaba urged the retirees to continue serving their communities through mentorship, peacebuilding and civic leadership, while wisely managing their retirement benefits.

 He said their experience and leadership remain valuable to Uganda even after leaving active military service.
