Gaddafi and Kiyinda Boys football clubs played to a 1-all draw during match day 17 of the 2024-2025 FUFA Big League at the Works playground in Entebbe on Thursday, 13th March 2025

Ambrose Kigozi gave Kiyinda Boys the lead in the opening stanza before Davis Kasirye replied for the hosts at the start of the second half.

Kiyinda Boys took the lead through their talismanic forward Kigozi in the 20th minute. Kigozi scored a stunning goal from over 50 yards when his flying shot beat goalkeeper Muhammed Ssekebba for the opener well celebrated.

Gaddafi missed the opportunity to make amends when former Vipers and Wakiso Giants left back Simon Namwanja had a low drive hit the lower post after being set up by skipper Thomas Kakaire.

Former Vipers forward Kasirye capitalized upon a grave mistake by goalkeeper Martin Ssenkooto who fumbled a high ball and Kasirye was at the right time to pounce home for the equalizer.

In the second half, Gaddafi pushed numbers in front but visitors’ defence remained solid to earn a point at the apex of the game.

Since the start of the second half, Gaddafi has failed to win in three matches, earning a point from the possible nine points expected following back-to-back losses to Kaaro Karungi (0-1) and Kigezi Home Boyz (1-0) before the latest draw.

Allan Kabonge Kivewala, head coach for Gaddafi was seen a very furious man following an open outburst with the referees on the day.

They slip to third on the log with 31 points, same as Blacks Power who have a superior head-to-head.

Meanwhile, Buhimba United Saints overcome visiting Paidha Black Angels 1-0 at the Kigaaya playground in Kikuube district.

Siraje Ismail scored the all-important goal in the 69th minute.

Booma and Kataka played to a non-scoring draw at the Masindi stadium.
