KITAGWENDA - UGANDA: A Gospel singer DJ Levi Nyamagoya, also known as Levi Amarakutunga, has fallen victim to a vicious act of arson. Unknown individuals set his house ablaze in Kitagwenda District, in what appears to be a retaliatory attack following his arrest and remand to Katojo Government Prison .

Amarakutunga, a local councilor representing people with disabilities, was taken into custody on March 17 after the body of four-year-old Trinah Ainomugisha was discovered on his farm. The police investigation, aided by a K-9 unit, uncovered incriminating evidence at his home, leading to his remand along with three others on charges of kidnapping, murder, and human sacrifice .

The community's outrage is palpable, with some residents having previously suspected Amarakutunga of engaging in witchcraft. While the police have condemned the act of mob justice, they are actively investigating the fire incident .
