Bushenyi District Receives New Consignment of Drugs.

BUSHENYI - UGANDA: Bushenyi district has received another shipment of essential medicines from the National Medical Stores (NMS), ensuring uninterrupted healthcare services for its residents. This latest consignment will be distributed to the district's 35 health units, including government hospitals .
The district's health centers will receive their allocated share of medicines, enhancing access to quality healthcare for the community , The government remains dedicated to enhancing health services, as emphasized by Deputy RDC Kasigazi William Donanto.
The medicines will be disbursed to various health facilities across Bushenyi, including Bushenyi HC IV, Kyabugimbi HC IV, and Comboni Hospital and other's.
The National Medical Stores plays a vital role in procuring, warehousing, and distributing essential medicines to government health facilities. With a focus on improving medicine availability, NMS has increased stock levels in recent years. However, challenges persist, and continued efforts are necessary to maintain a steady supply .
This new consignment is expected to positively impact healthcare delivery in Bushenyi district, where patients have expressed satisfaction with healthcare services. According to a study, 77.9% of respondents reported satisfaction with service delivery in health facilities .
By ensuring a steady supply of medicines, Bushenyi district is taking steps towards providing quality healthcare to its residents.
