SC Villa completed a league double over Mbarara City with a 2-0 win at Kakyeka Stadium in a fiery contest that saw four red cards issued.

Villa had captain David Owori and defender Geoffrey Lubangakene sent off, alongside goalkeeping coach Yusuf Ssenyonjo. Mbarara City’s forward Sadick Nasur was also shown red in a game full of drama.

The visitors started brightly, aiming to kill off the contest early but failed to convert their chances in the first half.

Three minutes into the second half, substitute Aslam Ssemakula made an immediate impact, giving SC Villa the lead. Just four minutes later, tempers flared—Owori and Ssenyonjo were both sent off.

Shortly after, Mbarara City’s Nasur Sadick received his marching orders, adding to the tension on the pitch.

Charles Lwanga then sealed the win for SC Villa with 16 minutes to play, capitalizing on a collision involving Mbarara defender Martin Owalamu to score the second goal.

After 24 league games, Mbarara City remain 13th on the 16-team log with 23 points. SC Villa move up to 6th with 36 points.
