Bushenyi, Uganda - The Bushenyi NRM mainstream elections, held today at Bushenyi playgrounds, saw Hon. Mawanda, Hon. Annet Mugisha, and Hajji Eid Bassajabalaba emerge as winners in their respective positions.

Hajji Eid Bassajabalaba was elected as NRM Bushenyi Chairman with a margin of 550 votes. Hon. Mawanda secured the Secretary for Finance position with a margin of 450 votes, while Hon. Annet Mugisha won the Vice Chairperson position with a margin of 500 votes.

Speaking after the elections, Hon. Michael Mawanda expressed gratitude to those who re-elected him as Secretary for Finance, promising to continue serving the party. Hajji Eid Bassajabalaba, the newly elected Chairman, pledged to work with the NRM party for the betterment of Bushenyi district.

Hon. Annet Mugisha, the newly elected Vice Chairperson, thanked the voters for electing her and promised to work tirelessly for the party's growth. In a closely contested youth league chairperson election, Namanya Sharif won by a narrow margin of 49 votes.

The winners are expected to take on their new roles and work towards advancing the party's agenda in Bushenyi district.
