Mbarara district, Uganda  : Police in Bwizibwera-Rutooma Town Council, Mbarara District are investigating the death of , 30-year-old Ritah Akakunda who was found brutally murdered in her home on Saturday morning.

According to reports, the deceased, Akakunda had been left in the house with her sister-in-law who has been identified as Winnie Kabaare, and the family shamba boy after her husband, Fred Kabaare, left for work in Bwizibwera town.

Police who responded to the scene with a sniffer dog arrested Winnie and the shamba boy to assist with investigations.

The body of the deceased was transported to Mbarara Regional Referral Hospital for a postmortem as inquiries continue.
