RUBINGO - NYAMABARE KYABUGIMBI ROAD PROJECT COMMISSIONED

BUSHENYI UGANDA. The 5.5km road connecting Kyabugimbi Town Council to Rwentuha Town in Bushenyi district has been commissioned, marking a significant milestone in the region's infrastructure development.


The project, which will take six months to complete and cost approximately Shs 587 million, was commissioned by Deputy Resident District Commissioner (RDC) Kasigazi Willoams Donanto, District LC5 Chairperson Jaffari Basajjabalaba, and other officials from the Ministry of Health and local leaders.


Area Member of Parliament, Hon. Michael Mawanda Maranga, who lobbied for the project, urged the contractors to work closely with the local community and provide job opportunities where possible. His sentiments were echoed by Joshua Asingwire Mawanda, who emphasized the importance of cooperation between the contractors and locals.


The project's supervisor, Brian Tumuhaise, assured residents that the work would be done diligently, thanking Hon. Mawanda for bringing development to the constituency.


Mr Cosmus Tumwijukye from the Ministry of Works and Transport noted that the project would be supervised by district leaders and ministry officials to ensure quality and timely completion.


The road project is expected to improve connectivity and accessibility between Kyabugimbi and Rwentuha towns, benefiting residents of Kitwe, Rubingo, Nyamabare, Kyabugimbi, and surrounding areas.
