POLICE INVESTIGATION INTO ALLEGED MURDER BY STABBING IN MITOOMA DISTRICT

BUSHENYI UGANDA. The Mitooma district Police in Greater Bushenyi region has launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the alleged murder by stabbing of Niwamanya Allan, a 25-year-old male resident of Ntungamo cell, Mirimbi parish, Nyakizinga sub-county, Mitooma district.
According SP Appolo Tayebwa Bushenyi greater police spokesperson, the deceased's biological brother, Atuhamize Ronald, who is currently at large, is suspected to have stabbed him with a knife in the chest following a 20-minute quarrel over missing coffee. The deceased was rushed to Kitagata hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The police responded promptly to the distress call, managed the scene, and retrieved post-mortem examination results from Kitagata hospital, which confirmed that the deceased succumbed to internal and external bleeding due to chest wall wounds.
Efforts to apprehend the suspect are ongoing, and we appeal to the public to provide any relevant information regarding his whereabouts. We strongly condemn acts of taking the law into one's hands and urge the public to refer grievances to the available authorities.
