IGARA EAST. A devastating hailstorm swept through Rwentuha Town Council and Kyiezooba Subcounty earlier today, leaving a trail of destruction in its wake. Banana plantations, cassava, and potato gardens were severely ravaged, reducing farmers to tears.
The affected farmers are now gripped with fear that the hailstorm might lead to food shortages in the area. With their crops destroyed, they are struggling to cope with the loss and are in dire need of assistance.
In a desperate plea, the farmers are calling on area leaders, including Hon. Mawanda, Hon. Annet Mugisha, NRM Chairman Alhajji Hassan Basajabalaba, the RDC's office, the District Chairman, and his executive, as well as well-wishers, to provide relief aid.
The farmers hope that timely intervention will help them recover from this disaster and prevent a food crisis in the area. The situation is critical, and the need for support is urgent.
