BSU Students stopped from joining mass off their former Guild president

BY BICHOLIN K MUSISI

Police have stopped students of Bishop Stuart University from holding a procession from Kasigenge Town to Uganda Martyrs Catholic Parish, where a requiem mass had been planned for their former guild president, Denmark Adios Beinomgisha.
Beinomgisha died on Wednesday morning after reportedly slipping on a staircase at Grand Holiday Hotel and later passing away at Mayanja Memorial Hospital. The students had planned to escort the body to the church, but police blocked the march, saying organisers had not informed authorities as required under the Public Order Management Act.
