5 boreholes launched in Igara East County to Address the scarcity of water

Igara East Constituency MP Hon. Michael Mawanda Maranga, in collaboration with ONE UMMAH Uganda, has officially opened five boreholes in different areas of his constituency. The boreholes are located in Comboni SS, Burungira PS, Nyamyerande III, Ruborogota, and Rwekitooma.


Joshua Asingwire, the political assistant to Hon. Mawanda, expressed his gratitude to ONE UMMAH Uganda for their support in providing clean water to the community. "We are thankful for the partnership between Hon. Mawanda and ONE UMMAH Uganda, which has enabled us to provide this essential service to our people," Asingwire said.


John Tumuhaiste, the LC3 chairperson of Ruhumuro subcounty, praised Hon. Mawanda's efforts to improve the lives of his constituents. "The provision of these boreholes is a significant milestone in our efforts to address the water scarcity challenges facing our community," Tumuhaiste said.


Haruna Mubiru from ONE UMMAH Uganda emphasized the importance of access to clean water in promoting public health. "We are committed to supporting initiatives that improve the lives of marginalized communities, and we believe that access to clean water is a fundamental human right," Mubiru said.


The official opening of the boreholes is a significant achievement for Hon. Mawanda and ONE UMMAH Uganda, and is expected to have a positive impact on the lives of the people in Igara East Constituency.
