BUSHENYI UGANDA: Over 1,700 students from Bwerenyangi Girls Secondary School successfully completed a 3-day patriotic training program. The training, lead by Col. Fred Mwesige from the RDC Secretariat, aimed to instill values of patriotism, leadership, and national unity among the students.
During the closing ceremony, Kapsawani Anthony from the Patriotism Secretariat emphasized the importance of putting the training into action. "It's time to apply the lessons learned and make a positive impact in our communities," he urged the students.
Col. Mwesigye echoed this sentiment, advising the trainees to first love themselves before loving their country. "Self-love and self-awareness are crucial in building a strong sense of patriotism," he said.
Asiimwe Shina Easther, the Head Prefect, expressed gratitude for the training, saying, "As students, we've learned a lot from this program, and we're eager to implement the values in our daily lives."
Buhairoha Molly, a teacher at the school, thanked President Museveni and his wife for their tremendous support towards Bwerenyangi Girls Secondary School. "Their support has been instrumental in shaping the future of our students," she said.
The graduation ceremony marked a significant milestone for the students, who are now equipped with the knowledge, skills, and values to make a positive difference in their communities.
