UPDF Commissioning Ceremony Highlights Commitment to Excellence

The Uganda People's Defence Forces, or UPDF, has celebrated a significant milestone with the commissioning of new officer cadets at Kabamba Military Training School. The ceremony was presided over by President Yoweri Museveni, who is also the Commander-in-Chief of the UPDF.


According to reports, General Muhoozi Kainerugaba, the Chief of Defence Forces, emphasized the UPDF's pivotal role in Uganda's socio-economic transformation and its contributions to peacekeeping missions across Africa. He highlighted the UPDF's commitment to Pan-Africanism, citing the presence of officer cadets from several regional countries.


The CDF also underscored the importance of ongoing reforms within the UPDF, aimed at enhancing its operational effectiveness and professionalism. He praised the new officers for their courage and emphasized the importance of discipline, hard work, and loyalty.


President Museveni congratulated the new officers on their achievement and urged them to prioritize their health, avoid corruption, and remain committed to their duties.


The ceremony showcased the UPDF's commitment to professionalism, discipline, and service to the nation, as well as its role in promoting regional peace and stability.
