Igara East, Bushenyi - Hon Mawanda Maranga Michael, MP Igara East , NRM Flag bearer and Director Mobilisation Patriotic League of Uganda, has dismissed claims by Gerald Agaba of being the Chief Coordinator of PLU in Western Uganda.

Addressing the media at his county office in Kitwe Rwentuha, Bushenyi, Mawanda stated that Agaba's claim is baseless as Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba, Chairman of PLU, has not appointed him to the position.

Mawanda also clarified that Edgar Rwambika, an independent candidate in Mitooma District's Ruhinda County, is a member of PLU but is contesting as an independent, not on a party ticket. He noted that Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba  directed PLU members to contest on the NRM ticket.

Mawanda emphasized that PLU has a Western Uganda Vice, Hon Dr Baram Barugahare, and urged Ugandans to participate in the upcoming general elections.#Hunterfmnews
