Robbers Shoot Dead Security Guard in Kiwatule

A yet-to-be identified private security guard was shot dead on Monday evening after armed robbers attacked a guarded premises in Kiwatule, Nakawa Division, Kampala.
Preliminary police information indicates that the assailants overpowered the guard before shooting him at close range.
An unspecified amount of money was reportedly stolen during the incident.
Police have since launched investigations to establish the identities of the attackers and the exact circumstances under which the killing occurred. No arrests had been announced by the time of publication.
The incident adds to growing concerns over nighttime armed robberies in Kampala’s residential and commercial suburbs.
