BUSHENYI - UGANDA. Hon. Mawanda Maranga, MP for Igara East, has donated food packages to Muslims in Igara East Constituency as part of Ramadan preparations. The packages include 10kgs of posho, 5kgs of sugar, 5kgs of rice, 2kgs of salt, 2 litres of cooking oil, wheat flour, peas, beans, and other essentials.

Mayor Elect Fred Mbiika Kibara urged Muslims to resume normal activities post-elections during the handover at Rwentuha Mosque. "Elections are over, let's focus on our daily lives," he said.

Hassan Mwesigwa, Chair of Muslim activities in Igara East, praised Hon. Mawanda for supporting Muslims during Ramadan since 2010. Asingwire Joshua from Hon. Mawanda's office highlighted the MP's commitment to community support .
