Bushenyi, Uganda – In a show of solidarity, Director  Mobilisation Patriotic League of Uganda and Igara East County MP, Hon. Mawanda Maranga Michael, led a team from the Western Uganda chapter in the Empumo Marathon this morning. The event at Kizinda Playgrounds is part of a larger push to combat HIV/AIDS ahead of World AIDS Day tomorrow, December 1st, 2025.

The national World AIDS Day celebrations will take place at the same venue, Kizinda Playgrounds, with His Excellency President Yoweri Museveni expected as the Chief Guest. The marathon symbolizes the community’s commitment to raising awareness, promoting testing, and supporting those affected by HIV/AIDS.

The Patriotic League of Uganda joins efforts to advocate for a healthier Bushenyi and a future free of AIDS by 2030.
